Make Your Own Fashion Accessories
When it comes to fashion there is nothing worse than arriving somewhere wearing something similar or exactly the same as someone else. And we all know that pulling off a classy, quietly sophisticated, budget-friendly, trendy and unique look is incredibly hard to do – unless you are rolling in money and have inordinate amount of time to shop.
One of the best ways to create a stunning look every time you walk out the door is by the savvy use of fashion accessories. Instantly being able to change a look from day to night, from casual to sexy and from earthy and natural to fashion hot stuff, accessories are the most versatile items any aspiring fashionista knows to keep in her cupboard.
It’s all about personalisation, which makes your look unique to the next person’s even if you are wearing something similar. Making your own accessories is a rewarding and therapeutic exercise, taking the notion of personalisation up a notch.
With sites like Pinterest bringing us ideas from innovative fashion enthusiasts from all over the world, there is an endless supply of inspiration with you being able to just use what you have at home. Have a couple of old brooches or funky floral hair accessories at home? These items can jazz up everything from simple pumps to handbags to scarves, dresses and shirts.
Clip brooches onto ballet flats for an instant vintage look that can be recycled later when you use the same brooch to secure a pashmina – the ideas are endless.
Jewellery is one of the most exciting ways to jazz up a dull look. Your local bead shop will have everything you need, and you can make everything from matching earrings, long strings of beads and bracelets in an afternoon. Pick beads in bright colours to offset a little black dress and by the time you get ready you will look hot off the fashion press without breaking the bank.
Celebrities Spotted at the Launch of Beauty Bazaar in Liverpool ONE
Whenever large chains open up new stores, it’s a real event. You tend to see large turnouts to see if they’re able to snag any discounts or exclusives and you’ll often see pandemonium as people fight over some of the most sought after products. When you’re dealing with someone like Harvey Nichols, although you might not see any tussles in the shops, you’re still going to see lots of competition among the customers, who all want to get the most out of the fresh new retail outlet and what it has on offer. The latest development came in Liverpool, where the new shopping centre there was met with the opening of Harvey Nichols Beauty Bazaar, a cosmetics-centred expansion from Harvey Nicks.
Early in November when the store opened, those who turned out to see things get underway saw as two big-name celebs turned out to see what it had to offer them. If you’ve ever seen the MTV series The City (which dropped as a spin-off to The Hills) then you should know Olivia Palermo. If you’re up on who she is, then you’d be excited to hear that she was the one who cut the ribbon on the day and got things underway. Although she claims not to be the biggest beauty spender, she liked what she saw. On top of this Danielle Lloyd was also spotted.
Harvey Nicholas Beauty Bazaar appears to have the right formula to attract girls from all over and if it has managed to grab the attention of celebrities of this calibre, they must be doing something right. As far as we can tell, there’s a lot of good things to come from these guys and we’ve probably not even seen half of what they have on offer as of yet. In terms of what services they boast, it seems that they’ve got all the right qualities of a store who’s going to be able to make a significant impact, because it’s nothing like any of the other cosmetics stores. You wouldn’t even dream of Boots or Superdrug coming up with something as extravagant as this and it’s down to the fact that Harvey Nicks are always looking to do that extra something to stand out.
