Welcome to Creative Kent
Welcome to Creative Kent. As you may know, Creative Kent has evolved from it's previous guise of Media Tree. Media Tree was a government-funded initiative, which suffered from funding cutbacks within local government. This created an opportunity to re-assess the offering for the creative and business sectors; the result of this is the creation of Creative Kent as a Community Interest Company. Our vision is "To be the first choice reference for creative learning and expertise in Kent for both suppliers and industry".
Our aim is to create an interactive and collaborative solution, where creative individuals and companies can work together, share good practice, profile skills within specific specialism's and attend training and events. All of this should enhance the likelihood of success when running a creative business and pitching for creative projects. Kent has a tremendous skill base within this sector and Creative Kent's role will be to raise the profile of this quality within Kent's business communities and beyond. This will in-turn enhance the skills retention within the county for students leaving education and looking for the right role for their creative aspirations.
