New Digital Marketing courses Kent based, Goldcrest Academy are launching two new CAM qualifications, Diploma in Digital Marketing and Diploma in Digital Media. Maidstone Studios Media Village Welcomes UCA The University for the Creative Arts innovative Broadcast Media Foundation Degree with a BA (Hons) one year top-up will be delivered in collaboration with the Maidstone Studios commencing February 2010. Both courses will cover a range of topics including documentary making, television adaptations, online broadcasting and popular culture. Kent guitarist records film soundtrack Maidstone born guitarist Chris Corcoran recently recorded the soundtrack for a short film produced by the National Film and TV School (NFTS). The score was composed by Geoff Hannan, a student at the school who approached Chris to provide the atmospheric guitar parts. The film, Travel Bag is directed by talented director Jae-Ha Myung and is about a teenage boy’s reluctant journey by bus to Blackpool.

nbatDigital calculate energy efficiency Energy Design Tools, a new venture for Ashford web designers nbatDigital, went live on 1 December. The site which allows architects to calculate energy efficiency in new buildings centers around a Government approved SAP Calculator which creates Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) for use in energy assessment and building regulations. ONEONE2 Media delivers ‘The guide to Dysphagia’ DVD Kent based OneOne2 Media, has recently completed a major DVD project on behalf of pharmaceutical company Fresenius Kabi Ltd of Runcorn, Cheshire. The DVD provides practical solutions for the care and management of Dysphagia. A nationwide campaign of research into the subject involved meetings with a number of healthcare professionals, specialists and individuals with dysphagia to gain as much information as possible on this little known, but relatively common swallowing disorder.
Remedy Creative makes sense of aphasia for national communication charity Tunbridge Wells agency, Remedy Creative has designed three important publications for communication charity, Connect.Remedy designed Connect’s Impact Report and two reports for their pilot ‘Access to Life’ project in Cornwall. With just seven weeks from creative brief to print delivery, Remedy presented alternative concepts, edited 100 pages of copy and organised a complex photoshoot at Connect’s London headquarters.

The delighted client said that the site is being discussed on guitar forums around the world. Year One Consulting has expanded into new offices in the Canterbury Innovation Centre. Year One, who provide business consulting across the creative & cultural and Higher Education sectors, also has an office in Folkestone’s Creative Quarter. Public relations agency Quantum PR has appointed local graduate, Alice Baker, as its new Account Executive. Netsite RecruitActive has been selected by Somer Housing Group to empower its recruitment processes. Somer Housing Group is a group of housing associations in the South West of England.
