Maidstone Tourism Website Redesign Brief

Maidstone Borough Council requires proposals from suitably qualified design agencies to create a new design for the tourism website.

Overview

Maidstone Borough Council’s tourism section currently has a website http://www.tour-maidstone.com  which provides information on the facilities, attractions and events in the borough.

The current website includes:
Events listings
Historic Maidstone information
Maidstone visitor attractions information
Itineraries
Eating & drinking database
Leisure facilties
Maps & guides
Accommodation link to Heart of Kent website
Local tourist information centre

Most of the pages are static, with the exception of the events listings, eating and drinking and villages sections which are database driven.

The aim of this new project is to design a modern, stylish, inviting and informative tourism website for Maidstone. The website should further develop the style and branding that was created for the pocket guide in 2009.
