Delfilm Digital

Delfilm Digital is a film company set up by writer/director Derek Boyes, to develop his slate of digital feature films for theatrical release. The first of these is a dark suspense thriller set on the Isle Of Sheppey called Missing that is hoped to go into production in the spring of 2010.

Having experienced too many UK production companies non-committal, play safe attitude towards first time feature film director’s, I decided to set up my own film company in 2007 for the development and eventual production of high quality mainstream feature films. My intention is not only to be highly successfull, but to maintain basic moral principles throughout by adhering to the following manifesto.

Choose stories that I’m passionate about and that have strong commercial appeal.
Create a flexible business model that can adapt to the constant change in technology and trends.
Reduce crew and equipment to the bare minimum to improve overall efficiancy and keep costs low.
Use new greener technologies with organic methods of film making to lower our carbon footprint and offer cast and crew more creative freedom.
Eliminate unnecessary complications by avoiding difficult stars and old-school attitudes.
Hire versatile intelligent actors and open minded, multi-skilled crews.
Be transparent - Make films based on trust, honesty and collaboration.

I aim to make films cheaper and faster while still maintaining high production values and good quality storytelling.
